Betty Lou Murphy

Betty Lou Murphy, 78, died peacefully in her Redondo Beach home October 21st surrounded by her family and loved ones after a long brave battle with cancer. Betty and her husband Michael L. Murphy shared 50 years of marriage together.

Born in Hardinsburg Kentucky, she was the daughter of Grandvyle and Edith Mae Freels. Betty moved to California in 1948 where she met her husband Mike. She worked as a homemaker, wife and mother as well as assisting in the family business; Pyramid builders.
Betty enjoyed gardening and tending to her family and will always be remembered for her dedication to her loved ones.

She is survived by her brother; Robert Freels, four children; Debbie, Betty Ann, Michael and Denise as well as her 6 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Michael in 2006.

The funeral and graveside service will be held at the Historic Church at 12noon on Saturday, November 5th, at Green Hills Mortuary and Memorial Park 27501 S. Western Ave., Rancho Palos Verdes, CA 90275
