Betty was a charter member of Walteria United Methodist Church and extremely active in many organizations related to her church membership. She was also a teacher with the Torrance Unified School District and her 33-year career was a source of great personal fulfillment. She was definitely a take-charge lady with a great sense of how to lead others by example.
Her legacy for us as her children was her love of God’s creation and the enjoyment she and our father passed on to us by way of many, many camping trips, picnics, and long road trips to enjoy the scenery. ESPECIALLY if any of this involved flower gazing.
