Betty Jane Jamison

We lost our beautiful mother, Betty Jane Jamison on Sunday evening, May 27, 2018 ten days after she suffered a hip fracture. Mom was 95 years old, born on October 26, 1922 in Audubon, Iowa. She was a champion golfer, bowler, and basketball star of her Audubon High School team. She married George Jamison in 1941 and celebrated 66 anniversaries. Betty leaves five children, Donna Cocke, Linda Camarillo, Joe Jamison (deceased), Larry Jamison and Susan Jensen Rosbottum and nine grandchildren, Amie and Jenni Luke, Daniel and David Camarillo, Douglas Jamison, Christie Slatcher, Cynthia Norin, Bret and Eric Jensen. Twelve great grandchildren have joined her family. Betty was an Executive Secretary at Hughes Aircraft Company in El Segundo for 25 years when she and Dad moved to Canyon Lake, CA to enjoy their retirement. Services will be held at Green Hills Mortuary Chapel, 27501 S. Western Ave, Rancho Palos Verdes on Wednesday, June 6 at 11:30AM. A reception will follow at the home of Larry and Jeannette Jamison, 608 S. Lucia, Redondo Beach. Donations may be sent to the Maccular Degeneration Society or the Alzheimers Association.
