Betty Jean Farrand

Betty Jean Farrand passed away on Tuesday, May 16, 2023 with her daughter and grand-daughter at her side. Betty was born in Jackson, Michigan and graduated in 1944 from Jackson High School. While still living in Jackson she met and married the love of her life Ted. They adopted 2 children before moving several times for work and then finally settling in Torrance, CA.

Betty worked as a medical assistant/medical biller for a few local Doctors before her retirement. She was a member of the Phi Gamma International Sorority, as well as a member of St. Cross Episcopal Church. Betty was very active in the church serving on several committees and she especially loved working in the kitchen for different events. She loved looking over new recipes and spending time in her garden planting.

Betty is preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Ted; Son Brian; and Brother Raymond Hartsuff.
She is survived by her Daughter Brenda LaGrange (Richard); Grandchildren Jeff LaGrange, Austin LaGrange, Tiffany McCluskey, Michael Dawkins; 7 great grandchildren; and Sister Patricia Penn
