Bert Thrapp left this earth for his eternal home on August 30, 2023 at 93 years of age. Even as his health failed, he enjoyed the comfort of his friends visits and being in his home.
Bert was born in Texas but moved to California at an early stage of his life. He had a huge heart that was always looking for ways to be the hands and feet of Christ.
Bert believed in helping others and each week would take food to the homeless and share the Gospel. He loved meeting with friends at Granny’s Donut Shop and would invite others to join him for donuts, coffee, and the Word of the Lord. He lived a life of purpose, faith, and trust in God.
Each year he enjoyed visiting his Kansas farm in the summer and stayed with his cousin Brenda and her family. He loved to drive the grain truck to the elevator and all the farm life activities.
Bert is preceded in death by his parents Bert and Alta Thrapp and his sisters Inez Thrapp and LaVerne Grayson.
Bert is survived by his niece Sandra Sears of Shalimar, Fl, nephew Alan Winters of Stockton, CA, cousins Brenda (Larry) Grant of Columbus, KS and Phyllis (Bob) Dixon of Pittsburgh, KS as well as numerous extended family members.
His family wishes to express a special thank you to the care team of Care Hospice and his friends Dorothy Strauch and Mel Music.
