Benjamin Thomas (Tommy) Tindel, 88, passed away peacefully on November 9, 2013. He was born in Texas and was a life long resident of the South Bay area. He is preceded in death by sister, Louise (Mickey) Gibson and son Michael M. Tindel. He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Yvonne Marie Tindel (Stokoe), daughters Terri M. (Diane) Maxted and Linda L. (Brad) Auerbach, sister Linda (Wallace) Hunt, four grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews in England and Texas. He enlisted and served in the US Navy in WWII as a tail gunner on the USS Saginaw Bay. He was an avid member of the senior bowling leagues at Palos Verdes Bowl. Family would like to thank the caregiver Nelly Valdiviez and all the staff of Cherish Hospice for their loving care and family support. Visitation will be held at Green Hills Memorial Park, Rancho Palos Verdes, CA on Friday, November 15th from 9 - 11:45am followed by interment at 12 noon.
