Beatrice Oseo Panis

Beatrice Oseo Panis was born in Maui, Hawaii on April 17, 1931. She is the daughter of Juan Oseo and Hilaria Mijares. Her siblings are Lourdes Villacorta, Daniel Oseo, Perla Oseo, Ely Oseo, Purita Tejero, Carmen Herrera, Nina Salvador, Isabel Talha, and two half-sisters Matilde Imamura and Tina Marshall.
Raised in Sorsogon, Philippines, Beatrice returned to Hawaii to live with her grandmother before she met Senicasio Panis. Senicasio and Beatrice married on March 27, 1954 at the Waipaia Immaculate Conception Church in Lihue, Hawaii. In 1954, Senicasio and Beatrice moved to San Pedro, California and eventually moved to nearby Torrance, California residing there for over 60 years.
Beatrice worked as an assembler at the Weslock Company in Gardena, California for 18 years, while raising four children. She loved to sew dresses, quilts and other items. She loved to bake Hawaiian sweet bread for family and friends. Beatrice also loved gardening and enjoyed betting on horse racing as well as taking bus trips to gamble in Las Vegas.
Beatrice is survived by her daughter Valerie Ababon (Laurence), and two sons Eugene Panis (Christina), and Edwin Panis (Maria-Emma). She was preceded in death by her loving husband Senicasio Panis, her son Edward Gene Panis, and grandson Edward James Panis. Beatrice leaves behind nine grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.


Beatrice will be laid to rest on July 6, 2020 9:00 a.m. at Green Hills Mortuary and Memorial Chapel, Rancho Palos Verdes, California.
