Barbara Ann Mores

Barbara Ann peacefully made her way to heaven surrounded by family and a house full of love on March 21st of 2025. She was the matriarch of our family with a sophisticated flare and classic elegance that transcended time. Her home overflowed with love, inviting family, friends and all those in need of a loving embrace. She had a vast knowledge and eloquent vocabulary, always offering timeless wisdom often followed by witty quips to lighten the mood. Her enduring strength brought forth generations of strong individuals creating her legacy of; 5 children, 10 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. Her wisdom will carry on like a whisper in the wind for generations to come.
Barbara was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan on June 11th, 1937, to Fred and Grace Hoogerhyde, followed by her younger brother Jim. She was raised on her Grandparent’s farm until she was 12 years old. At which time she then moved to Southern California where she resided for the last 75 years. Barbara is survived by her children; Rory (Lisa) McDermed, Colleen (Dan) Schultz, and Michelle Rowan. Grandchildren; Jenna McCoy, Audra Shephard, Jeremy Edwards, Brianna Marazzito, Sasha Chavez, Shane McDermed, Dani Schultz, Patrick Schultz, Stephanie Faris, Chad Rowan, her 15 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
