Barbara Jean Hoggan

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our Mother Barbara Jean Hoggan. Born on February 20, 1942, in San Pedro, California and passed away on October 14, 2015 Surrounded by her love ones. Mom was a lifelong resident of San Pedro Attending Barton Hill Elementary, Holy Trinity, Mary Star of the Sea & San Pedro High School After high School she earned a nursing degree at L.A. Harbor College. In the earlier years of her medical career she worked as an R.N. in local hospitals, and in later years she worked in physical therapy. Mom was able to retire early and enjoyed traveling abroad to Hong Kong, Korea, the Caribbean, Mexico, and many places within the United States. Our Mother was preceded in death by her parents, Benigno & Mercedes Valdez, Her siblings: Rosemary Aranda, Ben Valdez, Kathy Valdez, Hector Valdez, and Mercy Butorovich She is survived by her siblings Oscar Valdez, Olga Gomez, Alice Velarde, and Richard Valdez Her daughters Ann Aguilar (Ralph), Lisa Guardado, grandchildren Zack Zambrano (Irena) Mario Alberto Franco (Melinda) Rikki Ann Zambrano (Peli), Danielle Franco, Nicholas Zambrano ( Raquel) great grandchildren Mario Adrian Franco, Liliana Rose Franco, Makayla Ryan Zambrano, Andrew Nicholas Zambrano, Isabella Louisa Franco, Henli Kane Pete Fatai, Ryder and Zephyr Zambrano. Who were all her pride and joy which she held very dear and close to her heart. Also she is survived by her God children, Barbara Butorovich, Mike Centeno, numerous nieces nephews and cousins. She will be deeply missed.
