Barbara Mae Farr

Barbara Mae (Parker) Farr passed away suddenly on January 5th 2017 at the age of 83. Born in South Royalton VT on June 15th 1933, Barbara lived in Vermont until she graduated from the University of Vermont in 1955 with a Bachelors of Arts degree in Mathematics and married Lansing James Farr. They moved to California where Barbara worked as a Reliability Engineer at North America Aviation that later became Boeing where she retired in 1997.

In her retirement, Barbara was very active as a volunteer with the Peninsula Friends of the Library and continued to stay in contact with her school friends from Vermont. She enjoyed activities and traveling with her friends, especially her long time friends, Nancy Hightower (deceased), Carol Martinez, and Eleanor Curry.

Barbara is survived by her son, Shawn Farr (Shireen) of Carlisle, PA, daughter, Sherry Stukes (Bill) of Thousand Oaks, CA, grandson, Robert Stukes of Camarillo, CA, and sister, Leona Hickey (Mark) of Proctor, VT.

A graveside service will be held at Green Hills Memorial Cemetary in Rancho Palos Verdes CA on Saturday, January 14, 2017 at 12 noon.
