Barbara L Farquar

With profound sadness we announce the passing of Barbara, our loving and devoted mother, grandmother and friend to all whose lives she touched. On April 14, 2021 she left us surrounded by family and friends after a brief, surprise battle with lung cancer. She was newly 70 years old. She was born February 11, 1951, in Los Angeles, CA, a daughter of the late Wilbur and Marian Rotz. Her older brother, John, precedes her in death.

After her graduation, Barbara went to work for Continental Airlines. She was an agent and stayed with the company until she moved to EDS, later turned HP. Due to a stroke in 2013, she retired from working for what is now HP.

Barbara became a mother to her son, Terry in 1975. Terry was Barb's pride and joy. She was his number one fan. Terry never doubted he was deeply loved by his mother- his protector, his defender, his cheerleader in life- a job she took to heart.

In the years to follow, Barbara embraced her daughter-in law, Liz and became a grandmother to Trevor and Wesley. She spoiled them endlessly with gifts and her grandmotherly love. Barbara savored her pictures and videos of the boys.

Barbara is survived by her son, Terry; Daughter-in-law, Liz; grandsons Trevor and Wesley; and numerous adoring friends/family.
