Bang was a devoted wife for 25 years to Young Soo Chun, who preceded her in death in 1994 and mother of 2 daughters, Soo Jin King and Yu Jin Day. She immigrated to the U.S.A. in 1974 and became a proud citizen.

Bang was a victim of a stroke five years ago that took away her ability to speak, to write, and eventually walk. Her health continued to deteriorate and she finally succumbed peacefully surrounded by her daughters. Before her stroke she lived a full and vigorous life filled with family, friends and neighbors. She was well known for her exemplary cooking skills, her generosity and her love for her three grandchildren.
The family will be saying their final goodbye on Thursday, December 4, 2014 at the Green Hills Memorial Chapel at 11 a.m. (27501 S Western Ave, Rancho Palos Verdes)
We will miss her smile and warmth as we have already missed her voice and energy but we are comforted with the knowledge that she has joined her beloved husband and is at peace in the kingdom of heaven.
