Augusto B. Flores passed away on May 7, 2014. A loving husband, devoted father, and entertaining grandfather, he is survived by his wife, son, daughter, son-in-law, granddaughter, and grandson. He was born on August 8, 1934 and is the second child of 6 children, in addition to 4 older half siblings. Born in Pasay City, Philippines, he joined the US Navy and had served 20 years. After retiring, he continued working for the US government at the Long Beach Naval Shipyard for another 16 years. Due to the closure of the US base, he decided to retire and enjoy life.
Augusto was a simple man who enjoyed life at home. His daily routine consisted of morning coffee at Mc Donald's and associating with friends. He was an avid reader, loved caring for his grandchildren, tending his garden, and never missed an episode of Jeopardy. He will always be remembered for his humor along with the love he continuously expressed to his family and friends. Augusto will definitely be missed. May God bless you, Dad, forever and always..
