Of Carson, passed away Dec. 20, 2012 at the age of 90. She was born Dec. 13, 1922 in Arkansas. Elwanda, as she was known by her family & friends, was an avid bingo player.
Where other folks took the casino busses to gamble, Elwanda would go to the casinos to play Bingo, hours on end.
She was also a great fan of card games. Not just poker, which she was pretty good at, but all kinds of games as well.
She loved crossword puzzles, and sewing.
But, before all of this, Elwanda, with her husband Lee, were avid square dancers. They, along with several other couples formed the "Honeycombers" Square Dance Club. They danced until Lee's
Passing in 1994. She is survived by her loving son, Richard Moore, granddaughter Kelli Moore and her fiancé Michael Jordan, grandson Scott Moore, and great granddaughter Sierra Moore.
Elwanda was well loved by all and will be sorely missed. Viewing will be Friday, December 28, 2012 from 11am until 1pm at the mortuary, with graveside services following at 2pm in Green Hills Memorial Park.
