Arturo F. Palomares

On Wednesday, July 14, 2021, Arturo "Big Turi" Fernando Palomares, loving husband, father, and grandfather, passed away at the age of 70.

Arturo was born on April 3, 1951 in Oxnard, CA to Arturo and Emily Palomares. He served in the Marine Corp, and spent the rest of his career as a carpenter across the SoCal area. On October 13, 1990, he married Margaret Antonio, and together they raised his son Lil' Turi, and their daughters, Corrina, Maelani and Virginia.

Arturo's hobbies included bike riding and gardening. He was also an avid music lover and enjoyed listening to vinyl records and CDs while he was relaxing. He was known for his infectious smile, creative workmanship, thriftiness, and willingness to help anyone.

A viewing will be held on Thursday, July 22, 2021, from 4:30-8:30 pm at Green Hills Mortuary & Memorial Chapel. It will be followed by a memorial service on Friday, July 23, 2021, at 2pm, same location.
