"Mondo's Story"
Armando "Mondo" Carlos Gonzales was the 10th son of David and Josie Gonzales of Wilmington, California. He was born in Torrance, CA on the 29th of May in 1956. Unexpectedly on July 31, 2016 Mondo passed away in Harbor City, CA.
After attending Wilmington Park Elementary School and Stephen White Middle School, Mondo became a member of Harbor Regional Center where he received training in various skills. It was there that Mondo learned to be a dedicated, hard worker who was friendly and honest to a fault.
Mondo collected Hot Wheels, vintage record players and vinyl records. Anyone who knew him could tell that he was a big fan of music, especially, that of, Elvis Presley and The Beatles. His favorite outfits usually consisted of an Elvis Presley t-shirt, Dickies pants, and a pair of black Converse. Mondo was an adventurous spirit; he enjoyed traveling across the United States. One of his most memorable trips was to Memphis, Tennessee where he fulfilled his lifelong dream of visiting Graceland; the home of Mondo's ultimate idol.
Mondo leaves behind six brothers and four sisters as well as many nieces and nephews who loved him dearly.
A celebration of his life will be held on Wednesday, August 10, 2016 at noon in Green Hills Memorial Chapel.
