Antonia De La Torre Medina was born February 12, 1927 in San Pedro, CA. At the age of 5, her family moved to Chihuahua, MX. where she grew up and continued her education. In the late 40s she came back to San Pedro, CA by herself as a young adult. Antonia worked at the fish canneries on Terminal Island as a young woman. In 1959, Antonia met and married her husband, Isaac Medina. They moved to Wilmington, CA in 1968, where they raised their family. In 1977, Antonia and her husband opened Isaac's Café in Wilmington, CA. She and her family have been serving the greater L.A./Harbor Area communities for over 35 years. On March 12, 2014, Antonia passed away. She is survived by her five children, Norma, Isaac Jr., Victor, Anna and Marcos. As well as her 13 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. On behalf of Antonia, her family would like to thank her loyal employees Lucy, Teo, and Jose, as well as her loyal customers for so many years. We thank you deeply from the bottom of our hearts. You the customer's made Antonia's business what it is today. We will continue her legacy. Services will be held on Saturday, March 22, 2014 at the Green Hills Cemetery in Rancho Palos Verdes, CA. from 9am to 1pm. Thank You.
