Anthony "Tony" Costa

March 18, 1940 — January 21, 2014

Born March 18, 1940 in San Pedro to Biagio and Nancy Camello-Costa passed peacefully in the arms of his Savior on January 21, 2014. He graduated from San Pedro schools and attended L.A. Harbor College and L.A. Tech. He proudly served in the U.S. Army as Sgt./Spc5 and the reserves during the Vietnam War. He worked as a warehouseman with Star Kist Inc. ICWU and later as a security officer at the port for Pacific Security Syst. Inc. and Boyd & Assoc.
He is survived by sisters: Marianna (Russ) Costa-Bradford and Matilda (Jack) Judy Lewis and nephew: Robert William Lewis and aunts Raffaela Camello of San Pedro and Rose Costa of Ischia, Italy with many dear cousins in So. California and Italy. His dear companion: Sue and boyhood friend: Charles Romero and family.
He enjoyed family parties with relatives and cousins, photography, reading, music, attending football and Laker games and enjoyed going to Las Vegas. He'll be remembered through his kindness, generosity and for his free spirit by all and his dear friends at MC Café. "You did it your way."
Private burial in Green Hills Memorial Park followed by a memorial service on Friday, February 7, 2014, 11:00am at Green Hills Memorial Chapel. Please sign the guestbook at www.dailybreeze.com/obits . Anthony's favorite, Psalm 23.
