Anselmo G. Torres

Anselmo Garcia Torres was born on May 7, 1925 in Quitaque, Texas. He went to Heaven to be with his Lord Jesus on July 9, 2015. Anselmo was one of 12 children and worked at StarKist Foods, on Terminal Island for 36 years, retiring in 1983. He attends church services at Iglesia Bautista Horeb in Torrance, Ca. Anselmo was a loving and devoted husband to Librada (Libby) Torres for 64 years and lives in Harbor City, Ca. Anselmo is survived by his four children, Moises (Nancy) Torres of Corona; Lydia (Mark) Wilson of Pebble Beach; Alma (Anthony) Medina of Placentia; Abel (Sheri) Torres of Rancho Palos Verdes and a beloved Nephew Raul (Alexandria) Montes of Calimesa, Ca. Anselmo leaves behind 5 grandchildren Candy (Corey) Butler, Abel Torres, Jr, Tammy Torres, Crissy Torres and Denise Torres and 2 great grandchildren Andrew Butler and Lily Leyva. He is also survived by seven sisters and two brothers along with many nieces and nephews. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, uncle, brother and neighbor and he will be greatly missed by all. Visitation will be held Sunday, July 19, 2015 5pm - 8pm at Green Hills Memorial Chapel. Funeral service will be held 1pm Monday, July 20, 2015 at Green Hills Memorial Chapel.
