Annette Richardson

July 15, 1951 — October 3, 2018

Annette Richardson, age 67, passed away on Wednesday, October 3, 2018 in Torrance, CA. From her birth in Long Beach, CA on July 15, 1951 to her death, she nourished people around her with her lovingly prepared meals and baked goods. She was adopted at birth by her late parents John Cleo and Ruby Lee (Hunnicutt) Bickham. Three years later, they adopted her brother John Randall “Randy” Bickham. At the age of twelve, Annette began doing the grocery shopping and cooking for the family due to her mother’s recovery from a brain tumor. She was a natural in the kitchen and continued refining her culinary skills at Torrance High School (Class of 1969) and El Camino College where she majored in Home Economics. She married her high school sweetheart, Daniel David Richardson, on May 8, 1970 in Torrance, CA. Annette was a homemaker for most of her life to focus on her two children Leah Richardson (Tony) Gumm and Brennan Richardson, as well as her seven grandchildren Brooke Gumm (Nick) Panici, Samantha Gumm, Maris Richardson, Makayla Richardson, Luke Richardson, Sydney Gumm, and Maile Richardson. For a few years, she shared her gift as a chef and barista with the public, but she soon retired to care for her grandchildren full-time.

Annette will be remembered as a loving and dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend. A Lakeside Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, October 20, 2018 at 10:00 am at Green Hills Memorial Park, 27501 S. Western Avenue, Rancho Palos Verdes, CA 90275 in the Garden of Reflection.
