Ann Lonergan led a long active and eventful life starting out as one of the first of her extended family to be born in California in 1922. Her mother and father left the "Dust Bowl" areas of Tulsa Oklahoma and Wichita Falls Texas, with many other extended family members, in the early '20s. They left to seek an improved life in the "Golden State" of California with most of them settling in San Pedro.
Born Ann Pearson she began life in the depression years but continued at the beginning of WWII as a single mother at age 16 working hard and always finding ways to improve her life for her and her young child. By the early 1950s Ann had become a Realtor owning her own Real Estate office in Brentwood California selling property to many movie stars such as Eva Gabor.
After working to support her and, by then two sons, in the real estate business for more than 15 years a new page to her life began. In 1965 the new page to her life took what turned out to be an adventuress turn when she met and married her husband, Bud Lonergan. With this marriage she became mother to a family of 3 young boys and a girl along with her two sons. She and Bud raised the children until they all left to form their own lives.
After 45 years of a challenging but wonderful marriage to Bud Lonergan she passed away with close to 15 years of living and fighting with Alzheimer's disease. Ann and Bud lived in homes over many parts of the world including Elkhart, Indiana, La Jolla and Indian Wells, California, Lake Tahoe, Nevada, Ireland and finally Monaco. Ann passed away in their home in Monaco on 24 January 2012. Her husband Bud and all of her children except one who predeceased her in 1994 survive Ann Lonergan. She left 5 children, 9 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren as her legacy of what for her was a long and fulfilling life.
