Angelene Michelle Esposito Burch

May 8, 1928 — December 5, 2021

Robin Thurber (husband Glenn), David Burch (wife Diana) and three grandchildren, Amanda Adams (husband Chris), Hannah Burch and Jimmy Burch.
Angie loved growing up in San Pedro. She told stories of how she loved going to the “show” with her Grandmother Angelina Esposito at various theatres in town. While growing up, two of her best friends were her Uncle Jimmy Esposito and Lucy Curci. Angie was very proud that she brought her two friends together, later they married and spent many happy years together. She graduated from San Pedro High School in W’47, and remained close friends throughout the years with four of her classmates.
After graduating from high school Angie went to work for Mesa General Contractor. Shortly after she began working, a red head from Hot Springs Arkansas also came to work there by the name of R.G. Burch. Every day the two of them would sit out in the sunshine and have lunch together. They were married on May 13, 1951 at the old Mary Star of the Sea Church. In 2021, they celebrated their 70th year anniversary.
Later Angie began working for Gerken Florist on Nineth Street, just two doors down from her parents’ house. This began her 35-year career as a florist and business owner. She loved bringing joy to people through flowers. In her spare time, Angie enjoyed collecting antiques, collector plates, and bears.
In 1989, R.G. and Angie moved from her beloved San Pedro to Desert Hot Springs to join her father and sister living there. She especially enjoyed spending time with her sister. They loved cruising around the neighborhood in their golf cart, the wind in their hair. In 2004, they moved to Grapeview, Washington to be closer to their children and grandchildren. Angie loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Angie was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She will be greatly missed by her husband and family.
