Angela Terrazas Alderete was born on May 31, 1933 in Dona Ana, New Mexico. Angela passed away peacefully at her home of 67 years in Wilmington, CA from complications of Dementia on December 14, 2022. She is now joined by her loving husband Henry, and sons John and Henry Jr. in Heaven. Angela was a homemaker until her youngest child attended Jr. High, then she went to work to help support her family. She worked for the L.A. Unified School District at Bonita Street School, Carson as the office secretary until she retired in 1995.
Angela had a strong personality and was a force to be reckoned with, especially protective of her grandchildren. She was very family oriented and there were many family gatherings at her home for holidays. She had many talents; she liked to sing, dance, play the piano and was a crafter, seamstress and crocheter. If you were a relative or friend, you probably have something she sewed or crocheted. She will be deeply missed.
Angela is preceded in death by her husband Henry, sons John and Henry Jr., parents Lorenzo and Juana Terrazas, brother Raymond Terrazas and sister Beatrice Flores. She is survived by her daughter Rose Young (Rocky), sisters-in-law Lilly Terrazas, Velia Montenegro (Angel), Edith Carrillo, brother-in-law Arthur Alderete (Carmen), daughters-in-law Arlene Alderete and Vonnie Alderete, 9 grandchildren: Natalie, Johnny, Valerie, Rocky, Sarah, Adam, Rachel, Roxanne, Ryan; 20 great-grandchildren: Noah, Gabriel, Ella, Harper, Colette, Teresa, Reina, Nathan, Kara, Matthew, Andrew, Arial, Paige, Logan, Ian, Elena, Clara, Samuel, Jennah, Brianne, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
