Andy Nishimoto

Long time Torrance resident, Andrew (Andy) Toshihiko Nishimoto died on October 14, 2017 at the age of 69. Born on July 12, 1948 to Tom and Alice Nishimoto, Andy was the second youngest of seven children. Andy graduated from South High School in 1966, served in the U.S. Army, was a veteran of the Vietnam War and worked for the city of Torrance for 26 years before retiring in July 2009. Andy loved to spend time with his brother Doug, sisters Bettye and Harriet, his wife of 35 years Terrie, his son Andrew, daughter Alecia and stepdaughters Dawn and Celina. Andy enjoyed his five grandchildren and was looking forward to meeting his sixth grandchild, due in January. Andy was a family man and was very close to his nieces and nephews. Andy cherished his friends and enjoyed fishing and playing cards. His bright spirit will be missed by many. A celebration of life will be held at Green Hills on Saturday October 21, 2017 at 11:30 a.m. Casual dress is encouraged.
