Andrew G Kitzman

Former San Pedro resident Andy Kitzman passed away on November 30, 2021 in Sioux Falls, SD at the age of 89.

Born in Long Beach, CA, Andy grew up and attended schools in San Pedro, CA before joining the Army. Andy served a combined 32 years in the armed forces with the U.S. Army 82nd Airborne Division, Army Reserve, and Army National Guard. He worked for the U.S. Postal Service for 25 years, living in San Pedro, Barstow and Fallbrook, CA. Andy enjoyed the culinary arts and, following retirement, worked as a sous chef in Las Vegas while living in Henderson, NV. Andy lived near family in Sioux Falls, SD during his final years.

Grateful for having shared his life is his sister, Georgene Gleason, Sioux Falls, SD; nieces Paula Cunningham (John), Sacramento, CA and Lisa Sanderson (Rod), Sioux Falls, SD; and nephew Rich Dresser (Sandy), Frederick, CO.

He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Minnie (Jost) Kitzman; a sister, Pauline Dresser; and brother, George Kitzman, Jr. All were long-time residents of San Pedro, CA.
