Anacoreta Argosino Salumbides

Anacoreta Argosino Salumbides, also known to her family and dear friends as Mama Coring, passed away on March 28, 2019, at the age of 90. Mama Coring will be lovingly remembered by her children, Clemencia Penilla and Ramon, Carmencita Sy Bang, Sarah Garcia and Rodell, Lalaine Villafane and Gerry, Reynaldo Jr and Gina, and Maila Lacson and Roderick. She is also survived by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren:

She was preceded in death by her husband, Reynaldo Sr., her daughter Susan Omana, and her grandchildren Anna Christine Penilla and Anthony Sy Bang.

Mama Coring was born in Lopez, Quezon on August 28, 1928. She was a schoolteacher in her hometown for more than 30 years, before migrating to the United States with her husband in the early 1980’s.

Visitation/viewing will be on Friday, April 5th, from 4:30-8:30pm, in the chapel of Green Hills Mortuary at 27501 S. Western Avenue, Rancho Palos Verdes.

A celebration of her life and a funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, April 6th, at 11:30 am at the Nativity Catholic Church, 1447 Engracia Avenue, Torrance. This will be followed by a reception lunch at 1:00 pm at Mikuni Seafood Buffet, 22901 Hawthorne Blvd., Torrance.

Interment will be held on Monday, April 8th, at 11:00 am, at the Holy Sepulcher Cemetery, 7845 East Santiago Canyon Rd, Orange.
