Amparo "Inay" Dulce Dimapindan, 88, peacefully went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on February 8, 2013 at her Harbor City, California home after a valiant battle with cancer. She was born on May 12, 1924 in Balayan, Batangas, Philippines. She is preceded in death by her parents, Jose A. Dulce and Socorro Torres-Dulce; husband, Antonio; and younger sister, Caridad. Amparo is survived by her three children: son, Mauro (Kate) Dimapindan; only daughter, Nenita Dimapindan; son, Raul (Rose) Dimapindan; nine grandchildren: Dennis (Maribel) Dimapindan, Dale (Tanya) Dimapindan, Maureen (Esteban) Ortega, Siegfred Molo, Anne Caballero, Anthony Molo, Benedict (Diana) Dimapindan, Patrick Dimapindan and Medalla Dimapindan; and seven great-grandchildren: Gage Dimapindan, Jordan Dimapindan, Eliana Dimapindan, Grayson Ortega, Samantha Caballero, Emily Caballero and Isaiah Caballero.
After her husband's passing, Amparo joined her daughter to Honolulu, Hawaii and then moved to Southern California and stayed home as a devoted and loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She became a born-again Christian in the Philippines at age 59 and was an active member of New Hope Christian Center (Lomita, California) since 1985. She enjoyed crossword puzzles and will be remembered for her Godly wisdom, sharp intellect, humor, wit and steadfast strength.
