Amelia Ileto Tichenor

April 25, 1937 — December 8, 2021

Amelia "Nanay" Tichenor was a strong, authoritative figure that held her household. "Mother knows best" is how she carried herself. Yet, she was also generous and kind through her actions. She did everything to help her children, family, and friends in any way she could. Behind all the tough love and nagging, she always had your back.

Nanay loved to gossip. She knew everything there was to know on what happened, when it happened, or who it happened to. A skill enriched by technology - from analog to digital age, social media made her global. More than her love of gossip was her love for food, cannot blame her though, she made some of the best Filipino dishes. She would cook your favorite food and would always prepare a little something on your birthday. If your cooking is not up to her standards, you'd definitely hear it from her.

Nanay fought bravely to the very end. May she always be remembered as a strong, independent woman who had great love for her family.
