Amelia (Amy) Lopez Freiner

Amelia (Amy) Lopez Freiner passed away February 8, 2012 at the age of 74. She was born on February 10, 1937 in Long Beach, California. Amy grew up in Wilmington and graduated from Banning High School. She later moved to San Pedro where she lived the rest of her life. Amy worked as a Day Care Provider from her home for 20 years. Her gentle touch and loving heart enriched many people, including herself. Amy loved life and was a devoted wife and mother, loving her family dearly. Amy is survived by her husband, Vincent G. Freiner, her children, Christine Vasquez Maya, Peter (Gina) Vasquez, Vince Vasquez, Valli Vasquez, step-daughter, Nicole Freiner, her brother, Albert Lopez and sister-in-law, Alice Lopez. Amy had 16 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. Amy is preceded in death by her parents, Art and Chelo Lopez, her brother and sister-in-law, Art and Lenore Lopez, her cousin, Angel Lopez and her niece, Amy Lopez. Amy was loved by all and will be terribly missed. She left her fun-loving and vivacious spirit in everyone of us comforting us until we meet again. Memorial Services for Amy will be held on Thursday, February 16, 2012 7:00 p.m. at Green Hills Chapel for Rosary; Friday, February 17, 2012 10:30 a.m. at Mary Star of the Sea Catholic Church in San Pedro;and Friday, February 17, 2012 at Green Hills Memorial Park Sky Lawn 333A.
