It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Ambrose Martin Baccaro. He was born in Rochester, New York to tailors, John and Mary Baccaro. Ambrose moved to Los Angeles at age 14. Ambrose married his high school sweetheart, Shirley. They were married 73 years. He was drafted to Livorno, Italy a short time after his wedding. He was proud to have served his country. Ambrose had a career as an aerospace engineer for many years. He enjoyed being an active member of the Bald Eagles. Ambrose ran a business called Alpha Omega that was once a stationery store at 25th Street and Western Avenue . Ambrose was a building contractor. He built many homes in San Pedro. He enjoyed helping others in the neighborhood and sharing lemons from his tree.
Ambrose is survived by his sister Gemma (Paul) Sylvestri, daughter Leslie (Michael) Bezich, Shelley (Pete) Ciaramitaro, grandchildren Adrianne Ciaramitaro, Peter (Cami) Ciaramitaro, Jeremy (Shannon) Bezich, Kayla (Jay) Fall and great grandchildren Adam and Ava Bezich, Ryan Fall and Stella Ciaramitaro.
