Alfred Jose Garcia

A loving husband and devoted father joined his own father Jose Garcia in heaven on November 21, 2014. He was surrounded by family and friends, and his hands were held by his beautiful children. He is survived by his wife Rosalinda, his 3 children Andrew, Daniel, and Natalie-Rose along with his mother Christine Garcia, Grandmother Bea Cervantes, brother Phillip Garcia, several nieces, nephews, godchildren and friends too numerous to mention. Alfred was a Sergeant in the United States Marine Corps and served his country with pride and honor. As a graduate of Cal Poly Pomona he used his education in Horticulture to improve the landscape of Long Beach Community College where he worked. When he wasn't at work or with his family, you could always find him on the fields of Alta Vista Park, riding the John Deere mower, fixing a sprinkler, or whispering to his lawns there. He will be forever remembered and dearly missed.

Mass service will be held on Saturday November 29, 2014 at 10:00am -- St. Lawrence Martyr Church, Redondo Beach, CA. Burial service--Green Hills Mortuary. Reception immediately following at Alta Vista Park.
