Alexander William Mceachern

With much sadness we would like to acknowledge the passing of Alexander William McEachern on Friday, January 4, 2013, in Torrance, CA.
Alex was wholly and lovingly surrounded by his family, in both body and spirit: Shan, his wife of 23 years, along with his children, Morna, Jennifer, and Sandy; and stepchildren Lisa, Andra and Matt.
He will be deeply missed by all. His unique, sometimes wry, but undisputedly vast intellect will continue to influence and be remembered by many, including the hundreds of students whom he taught, enjoyed, shared with, and mentored during his many years as a professor at USC.
Alex left this world at peace and with dignity. His presence and remarkable intellect, along with his unfailingly sharp wit (which he kept until the end), will be greatly missed by all whose paths he crossed.
Alex is interred at Green Hills Memorial Park in Rancho Palos Verdes, CA. A private memorial ceremony will take place in late January.
