Alexander Robert Franjose

Alexander Robert Franjose (Bob), born May 17th 1946 in Rochester New York, lived in Redondo Beach, CA and Lennox Head, Australia, left this Earth to surf the eternal wave on March 1st 2019.
Bob, a kind, generous and comical friend to so many, was the son of the late Alexander and Florence Franjose and brother of the late Richard Franjose. He grew up surfing in Redondo Beach, was a lifelong member of Haggerty’s Surf Club, served his country in the Vietnam War and travelled the world with his buddies in search of the best waves.
Bob moved to Australia in October 1972 and settled in Lennox Head, where many of his mates from the South Bay also moved. They became an expat family and looked out for each other, always staying connected to their friends and family back home. Bob returned to Redondo Beach in 2009 to take care of his beloved Mother Flo until her passing. He then stayed on at his family home and spent his days hanging out with his buddies around the pool, telling jokes and checking out the surf.
