Alex P. Escandon

Alex, the son of Richard and Julia Escandon, was born November 16, 1970 in Carson, California and passed away suddenly on Wednesday, February 5, 2014 in Torrance, California. He was preceded in death by his mother, Julia, two years ago. Alex is survived by Alicia his wife and best friend of 20 years and their son, Aaron Escandon; his father Richard Sr. and wife, Pat Escandon; three siblings, Robert and wife, Gina Escandon, Dolores Escandon and Richard Escandon Jr.; nieces, nephews other relatives and many close friends. Alex had a huge heart of gold and touched the lives of many people with his bright smile, laughter and generosity. Alex had a huge passion for working with the youth in the community. He worked for several Boys & Girls Clubs for 20 years where he had a positive influence on many people who looked up to him as a mentor. Alex will be FOREVER REMEMBERED. Visitation will be Wednesday, February 12th from 5:00 – 9:00 p.m. with the Rosary at 7:00 p.m. in the Green Hills Memorial Chapel in Rancho Palos Verdes. The Funeral Mass will be on Thursday, February 13th at 10:0 a.m. at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church in Lomita.
