Aldon Ellington

Aldon passed away at the age of 91 on April 21, 2020. He was a Korean War era veteran of the U.S. Air Force and served in Berlin during the Berlin Airlift. He spent most of his adult life working in the airline industry. He worked as a mechanic and maintenance supervisor for Pan American for over 30 years. After he retired from Pan Am he worked for various other aircraft maintenance companies. And for 10 years toward the the end of his life volunteered at the LAX Flight Path museum which brought him great joy. The one hobby he truly enjoyed was dune buggying which he took up in his 60’s.

He was predeceased by his loving wife Irene. He is survived by sons Wayne (Melanie), Brent (Sonja) and Mark (Annamarie), Grandchildren Matthew, Mackenzie, Becky, Luke and John, Great Grandchildren Anabelle, Isley, Evey, Colette, Mara, Malia and Cooper.
