Albert Rea passed away quietly on May 7, 2015, surrounded by his family. He was born on November 4, 1940 in Raton, New Mexico and moved to San Pedro, California in in 1955.
He was a beloved brother and uncle. Albert was preceded in death by his father Rico, mother Mafalda and brother Louis. He is survived by his sisters Betty Rea and Mary (Charles) Henderson. He is also survived by three nephews Steve (Linda) Clark, Chuck (Traci) Henderson, Chris Henderson and one niece Janie Wallach. He was a great uncle to six, Alexandra Clark, Jared and Jacob Wallach and Chase, Christofer and Connor Henderson.
Albert graduated from San Pedro High School in 1958. He served in the U.S. Marine Corp Reserve. He became a Longshoreman in 1969 and a Fireman in 1971. He was well known in the Holy Trinity Neighborhood as he walked his dog Katie there daily.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, 5-7pm at Green Hills Mortuary. A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, May 14, 2015, 10:00am at Holy Trinity Catholic Church with interment to follow in Green Hills Memorial Park.
