Alan Garfield Strong, 92 passed away on February 18, 2017 at his home, in Carlsbad, California. He was the husband of Dorothy Elizabeth Strong, and they shared 29 years of marriage together.
Alan was born July 24, 1924 in Callonfree Virginia, County Cavan, Republic of Ireland. In 1957, he immigrated with his young family to Redondo Beach, California. It was here that he owned and operated his independent automotive business 41 years.
He attended Rolling Hills Covenant Church for many years. He will be remembered for his kindness and servanthood. His dedication to his Lord was evident to all who knew him.
He is survived by his wife Dorothy, his two daughters and their spouses, eight grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. He was preceded by his wife of 34 years, Margaret (Pearl) Strong.
