Adele Sasso

Our beloved Adele was born January 10, 1935 to Domenico and Vincenza Amalfitano on the beautiful island of Ischia, Italy where she grew up with her 4 sisters and 2 brothers. At the age of 15 she met her love Giovan Guiseppe Sasso and married 8 years later on October 27, 1958. While Adele enjoyed assisting in midwifery her ultimate passion was being a homemaker and a mother to Luigi, Domenic, and Marco. In 1970, they moved to California and had their daughter Rosanna.

Adele leaves behind her children Domenic, Rosanna, son -in-law Brian, her grandchildren Sabrena (husband Jeremy), Joseph (wife Ali), Ben (wife Emily), Michelle, Mary, Sophia, Julia, and her great-grandchildren Gianna Adelina, Milania, Gino, Brooklyn and her newest addition John Joseph. She is preceded in death by her husband Giovan Guiseppe, and her sons Luigi and Marco.

Adele loved being there for her family and enjoyed cooking and spending time at church functions, spending time with friends playing bingo and drinking espresso. But her greatest joy was being a Nonna or Nonni as all the grandchildren affectionally called her as well as everyone of their or our friends called her. After her first granddaughter Sabrena came, that was it, she was devoted to taking care of her and all the rest that came after her except for Wednesdays because that's when she played her bingo with friends. Any other day she was free to babysit. She was an incredible caregiver and took care of her husband as he suffered from dementia for over 12 years. She never complained once, she was devoted to him and everyone else and never put herself first. She was kind, generous, loving, and will never be forgotten.

The loss of Adele has left us all heartbroken as she meant so much to us. She taught us how to be selfless and strong and to put family before anything else. She will forever be missed, and we are thankful that we know she is with her husband and sons watching over us all.
